PowerWalker VI 1000
PowerWalker offers a wide range of convenient and powerful Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) for home, business, and professional users. Reliability, intelligence and high efficiency at reasonable price are just a few points to describe the power protection products from PowerWalker. The complete product range includes the low-cost Offline (Standby), efficient Line-Interactive and true Online solutions.
With an UPS from PowerWalker you can continue to work during a power dropout or protect your sensitive technical equipment. In case of dropout the UPS automatically switch into backup- battery mode and provide clean power and long backup time. If AC is recovered the UPS switches back to normal mode and recharge the internal backup- battery. A comprehensive power protection against surges and spikes complete the wide function range of PowerWalker UPS.
PowerWalker UPS are the best solutions for all kind of dropouts coming from your power network and offers best features:
- Long backup time with maximum performance
- Microprocessor control guarantees high reliability
- Simple and easy installation & operation
- Discharge, overcharge, short circuit and thermal protection
- Provides high performance, reliable and cost‐effective backup power protection.
Line Interactive UPS
A Line- Interactive UPS offers backup function and automatic voltage regulation (AVR). AVR regulates voltage to the appropriate level by decreasing it during surges or swells or increasing it during a sag or burnout. The advantage is a better protection for sensitive IT- and household equipment and avoids damage caused by voltage up- and downturn.
AVR function also benefits the battery lifetime. As long as voltage level is not lower than 70% to 90%, or higher than 110% to 125% AVR will adjust voltage to normal level. I case the voltage drops to a lower or higher level, the UPS will directly switch to battery mode to avoid dropouts and damage of the connected equipment.
Line- Interactive UPS offers USB port (RS-232) to connect to a multitude of operating systems for monitoring voltage, power and battery status. Line- Interactive UPS are designed for medium cost application with moderate load levels.
Connections
Schuko Outlets: The UPS offers 2 Schuko outlets for the easy connection of any device needs both, power and protection.
IEC Outlets: The UPS offers 2 IEC outlets for easy connection of IT equipment like PC’s, server, switches routers etc. Another advantage of IEC is the smaller size compared to Schuko outlets and the possibility to bring more outlets in one device.
USB Port: The embedded USB communication port allows an easy connection to a PC or notebook for monitoring purpose.
RS-232 Port: The embedded RS-232 communication port allows an easy connection to a PC or server for monitoring purpose. It’s best for a wide range of operating systems and the first choice for server or system administrators.
Function & Features
AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator): AVR stands for “Automatic voltage regulator”. Sometimes input voltage comes with boost (spike) or bucks (sag) and is not stable enough for connected equipment. The AVR offers one-step boost and one-step buck stabilizer to continuously supply a clean power source to its connected equipment.
Monitoring Software: The monitoring software is the remote connection between the UPS and your PC. The software supports a wide range of operating systems from Windows, over Mac till Linux, Unix and many special server Operating systems. In monitoring software not only the current status of UPS as visible, but also shutdowns and emergency behaviour can be programmed. Furthermore the software offers many advanced features like:
- Allows control and monitoring of multiple UPS’s via LAN and INTERNET
- User-friendly power analysis graph: event statistics, history data chart export
- Real-time dynamic graphs of UPS data (voltage, frequency, load level, battery level)
- Safely OS shutdown and protection from data loss during power failure
- Warning notifications via audible alarm, broadcast, mobile messenger, and e-mail
- Scheduled UPS on/off, battery test, programmable outlet control, and audible alarm control
- Password security protection and remote access management
The connection to the UPS can be established by USB, RS-232 or LAN using optional SNMP network module.
Modem/Fax/Phone security: The Modem/Fax/Phone surge protection function protects your Modem, Fax or Phone for any kind of surge problem coming from the power network. Simply connect your Modem, Fax or Phone trough the UPS and use internal protection technology to secure your equipment.
Optional SNMP Module: The SNMP module is the connection between the UPS and the local network (or WAN). The SNMP module is available as optional accessory (Model name: DK-522). After easy and quick installation the UPS behaves like a normal network device and can be easily controlled by monitoring software. SNMP modules are the perfect extension for all server rooms or bigger network system in offices. |
